1/10 & 1/4 GAE different colors?
 

I received my first 1/4 GAE today and placed it in one of my air tight coin containers. I now notice a slight difference in color in my new 1986 1/4 GAE. I'm comparing it to my 1/10 oz GAE, I have 3 in front of me, 2 1999's and 1 2008. All of the 1/10 oz GAE look the same color but the 1/4 oz looks slightly darker. I've also noticed on the chest of lady liberty there isn't as much super fine detail, but i've examined other 1/4 oz coins on ebay and found this to be normal...

So my question, do GAE have slightly different hues and detailing depending on the fractional size you choose?

And yes, this GAE was purchased on ebay from a 10,000+ 99.5% user, stamp collector...

Yes, I believe the US mint does that so blind people can tell the difference between the different denomination coins.

These are not pure gold, therefore the copper ages and tarnishes "tones" over time. Especially when handled.
